This is a large cache placed in the desert. It was placed in conjunction with an event held by Frog Dog & Corker. Thanks Mermaid, Frog Dog & Sheb Wooley, who provided the inspiration for this cache.
Last summer Mermaid was exploring some remote Texas beaches. She was walking on the wet sand at an uninhabited island when she found a crashed UFO in the surf. She was amazed at finding such a fascinating object but when she heard noises coming from inside, her heart almost stopped. She saw a tiny hatch with strange markings and when she touched it, the hatch smoothly slid open with a rush of air, revealing several small creatures inside. Well, nothing good happened after that. The sunlight and the salt air seemed to have a negative effect on the frail slug like bodies of the aliens inside. Their skin blistered and the noises emerging from the hatch made Mermaid think that the travelers were not glad to have her help.
She was confused and trying hard to fix things and make amends with the aliens when a rogue wave swelled up and crashed over the poor little UFO. Salt water flooded inside the alien ship and destroyed much of the navigation, power controls and environmental equipment. That was least of the occupants worries. Much to Mermaid’s horror, the sea water began dissolving the alien’s skin. The slug bodies bubbled green slime and began puddling on the floor of the ship. This is really bad she thought to herself. Mermaid was wondering what she could do to save the day, when the alien captain told her to shut the hatch and transport his ship to the above listed coordinates near Roswell, New Mexico. He told her never to open the door again, because if the crew is reconstituted, they will return as purple monsters seeking revenge. He said his crew would be out of control and might frighten any earthling curious enough to unlock the hatch.
