On the shores of Chipping Norton Lake.
Many people come here to sail away, or more accurately motor away. Chipping Norton Lake is a man made lake, and was originally a series of interconnected sand pits, these were the left over remnants of sand mining that went on here for decades. In the 1970s the powers that be started to dredge the walls away to create want we see now, a tidal lake. Used by many, myself included. I sail here most Saturdays, come around to the sailing club and meet the other Rainbow Spirit. May the power be with you, well at least the first five to find...
