We remember that this parking lot used to be a large building that was destroyed by fire in the early 1980's We used to live on Gibson Rd. just to the north. We had a family member that woke us in the middle of the night to tell us about the fire. He had seen it from miles away. The building was almost completely destroyed except for the part that is still there today. It was saved because of a fire wall. We remember the remains of the building smoldering for days. If you remember anything else about this fire please put it in your post. We couldn't find any information on this fire online. This is just what we remembered from all those years ago.
