A great location hidden in the prairie of Iowa County, west of Dodgeville, Wisconsin.
This cache is located at the Iowa County Recreation & Prairie Restoration site. This used to be referred to the "Pond by the County Farm". It is located west of the Bloomfield Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center on County CH. There is a road leading to parking on the left hand side of the road. Unfortunately, the road is not on Google maps, but if you click “satellite” view you will see it on there. At the entrance you will see the sign reading "Iowa County Recreation & Prairie Restoration” Entrance located at N 42° 57.603 W 090° 13.868
This is a beautiful spot and it's accessibility has greatly changed over the past decade. I used to go here when I was young with my dad to go fishing in the pond. Later as a Boy Scout I performed many service projects at this location. One of them was installing Bluebird houses that are still along the fence line today.
You are looking for a waterproof case with camo tape. There is a log book, a pen, and some small items. You will not need to go walk or disturb any of the prairie, the trail will lead you to it.
