Trick or
Treat!
You might experience a few Tricks along the
way but stick with this and you will find a Treat at the
end.
You will need a writing instrument, paper,
flashlight (LED preferred), GPS and some basic math
skills.
Posted coordinates are for
parking/starting/puzzle area only. This is where you will
start.
1. Parking area has how many street entrances? How many
exits to streets? Find the only legal way to drive
in and
start walking East along a well marked route.
2. When you have walked about 300 feet from there turn on
your flashlight-LED preferred. Look south and follow the
glints.
Nice
easy stroll thru Nielson Park. Follow the glints all the way until
you see no more.
3. Measure the diagonal of this court. Write it down.
(First)
4. Walk East and go find this
spot. N37
41.318 W121 52.225
What is
the street address number? Write it down.
(Second)
5. Now measure inside diameter of a well marked space you
are standing in-this should be fairly obvious.
Write it down. (Third)
Now comes the usual math
stuff so find a comfortable spot and get busy.
Final hiding spot is at
N37 41._ _ _ W121 52._ _ _.
A) To find the correct Latitude multiply the last 3 digits
of your N coordinates of the posted coordinates by the
First number you
wrote down.
Now divide that by the exact same number you wrote down. The answer
is N37 41._ _ _.
B) To find the correct Longitude you will add the last 4
digits of posted coordinates to Second number you wrote
down. Now divide this sum
by the Third number you wrote down (average up to whole number) Add 12
to this number. This now becomes the last 3 digits for
Longitude.
This number is W121 52._ _ _.
C) Go get the final. Have fun, be safe and happy
hunting!
