Tour Information:
The Waimakariri River Regional Park is open between the hours of
7:00 am and 7:00 pm daily (closes 10:00 pm during daylight
saving).
This 'tour' to the cache has been designed to utilise the extra
Coringa Loop MTB track. This will add an extra 5km loop to your
tour. Although the MTB has been signposted as "NOT AVAILABLE FOR WALKERS" the forest is very
open and there is nothing to stop footbound geocachers walking
through the trees adjacent to the MTB tracks, or along the many
forest roads, or raised stopbanks.
You will need to do the Tour de McLeans Multicache (GCZ31A)
first, for the coordinates of this cache are written on the cover
of that cache's logbook.
The car park handy to the start and end of the Tour de McLeans
and the Tour de McLeans - Bonus caches is situated at S 43° 27.936
E 172° 28.097.
The cache is a 1.2 litre camo container containing logbook,
pencil and swap items.
