Geocache Description:

A hike to the bottom of the Peterson Creek Gorge.

There are a number of entrances into the Park. When the cache was set, I used the trailhead for the Mariposa Trail, then followed the Tom Moore Trail to a junction and took a trail down to the creek. There are new names for the trails in Peterson Creek, but there is an older sign on the FHA Collins trail which names some features. A few more caches will be placed at these features.

There is a small trail right next to creek's edge that runs up and down from Canyon Vale to the Upper Canyon. The cache is hidden a short distance upstream from the Mid Vale Creek Crossing.
GPSRs won't give accurate readings in the canyon bottom so use the clue to find the cache.
