Join us from 5 to 8pm for a holiday potluck
dinner and white elephant gift exchange* in Cedar Park's Rec
Center :) We will have use of a 1000 sq ft community room with
tables and chairs.
There will be a $5 per adult event fee which will go towards
covering the community room rental, two hams, and miscellaneous
supplies such as plates, napkins, plastic-ware and raffle
tickets.
The first and last 15 minutes, we will be setting up/taking
down the tables and chairs provided by the rec center. Able and
willing volunteers will be roped in to help :)
Bring a WRAPPED gift valued in the $5 - $15 range that is
related to geocaching or hiking outdoors for the gift
exhange.
Please RSVP as early as possible to help us with our planning. Let
us know how many adults/children will be coming :) If any
are small children, please message us and let us know ages/genders
so that we can plan for the craft/activity table that will be set
up.
Also let us know what dish you will be bringing in your RSVP
note. We'll be updating the cache page with this info so we can get
a good variety of side dishes and desserts :) Please plan in
advance so we can make sure all bases are covered.
Never attended an event? Don't be shy :) The local
geocaching community
is very friendly and welcoming and you will feel like part of
the
family right away :)
SEEKING DOOR PRIZES - If anyone would like to donate a
geocaching
related door prize and/or can put us in contact with any
individuals or organizations who may be interested in

WHERE IS IT??
The Rec Center is located at 1435 Main Street, Cedar Park TX. Enter
through the back entrance and we will be the first community room
you see - the San Gabriel Room.
From 1431 (aka Whitestone Blvd) head north on Discovery Blvd. At
the second circle (with clocktower in center) turn left (you'll go
almost all the way around the circle to do so). You'll see the rec
center on your left.
WHAT IS A WHITE ELEPHANT GIFT EXCHANGE?
In a white elephant gift exchange, each person has the option
to
keep the gift they open or trade with someone who has opened
one
previously. If any children will be participating please make sure
they are aware that any given gift they get may be traded for (with
the exception of a gift that has hit the three trades limit).
