Odek Goes to College #1 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: Hi
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, [RED]and assuming it still meets the guidelines[/RED], we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Don't hesitate to email me via the link on my Profile if you have any questions. [red]Please be sure to include the cache name and GC Code, or better yet, the URL of the cache page.[/red]

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

Be wary of snakes when it is hot. You can basically drive right up to it, just take the road to left (south) of the garden. There are no gates or anything that way so you can't be locked in. It's bumpy, and much easier with a truck, but I did it in my Camry without bottoming out, you just have to drive carefully. ONLY ATTEMPT DURING THE DAY OR YOU MIGHT GET LOCKED IN. You can attempt walking in but they will have security cameras watching you if you try to walk to it at night. BYOP!

This is the start of a chain of caches that will count down to when I go away for college. I bought 100 clear micro containers and plan to report the caches on every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Every cache will need a clue from the previous cache (except for this one of course), so they must be done in order. The other caches will not be at the posted coordinates. The clue to the next cache will be written on a separate sheet than the log, so be prepared to write it down, memorize it, or of course take a picture of it (that's the best way). Any suggestions are happily accepted and will help a lot. BYOP!

To hear all information about this series, please report back to this page. I will be posting some information that may be useful to cachers trying to find all of the caches in the series.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES:
2/11/2011 - What is with the regular caches? As you can probably see, some caches have been made so that regular non-series finders can find a few. Of course there are ways that prevent the non-series cachers from finding the next ones in the series, so that they would still have to start at #1 to continue. Please let me know if you would like a few more caches that allow for non-series cachers to find, if there are enough people then of course i will incorporate a few more.

2/11/11 - My cache production has slowed way down recently and it has been hard to keep up. I will not be returning to the regular MWF schedule that I was on for a while, but the sacrifice of quantity will be made up for with quality. I will be making more creative caches to put into the series, and who knows, I may eventually be able to get back into the schedule by summer. Also, I would like for anybody who wants to create a cache in the series to feel free to do so. Just email me the info and I will be happy to incorporate it into the series. All I require is that we co-place the cache and that I put the info on the cache page. Thank you for any help, it is much appreciated.

6/18/11 - I went through and replaced and/or updated all of the caches. So they are all good to go for the summer. I plan on starting back up again and getting to about #70 by September. Keep on caching.

12/15/11 - The cache is now a small and no longer a micro, and does not contain a clue to #2. I may start to open the series up to everyone, let me know how it's going and I make keep it closed or open it up more.

Congrats to pokey60 and icyrumncoke for the co-FTF

Congrats to these people for completing all of the caches:
