Le calvaire Rote Kritz
(Rotes Kreuz)
Le
calvaire Rote Kritz (Rotes Kreuz) est situé pas loin du château
d'eau entre La Wantzenau et Kilstett. Il est ombragé d'un noyer et
situé le long du chemin.
Le haut était détérioré par les
intempéries. Visage abîmé, console sculptée. Il a été rénové en
1983 et porte comme décorations et sculptures un serpent au pied de
la croix, une pomme, le serpent symbole du péché.
On peut distinguer l'inscription
suivante
" Wer vor
diesem Kreuz 5 Vater unser und 5 Ave Maria andächtig betet, hat 40
Tage Ablass. Dieses Kreuz hier ist errichtet worden für die
Eheleute Franz Joseph JUND, Ackermann und Thérésia STOECKEL in der
Wanzenau " 1838.
Dans le village, ce calvaire est
connu sous le nom de "Rote Kritz 1838".

The red
Calvary, Red Crucifix or Red Cross is localized not far from the
water-tower who is between the village called La Wantzenau and
another one called Kiltett. The Red Cross is covered by the shadow
of a Walnut-tree along the way.
The top of the Crucifix was damage by
the weather and the time, particularly the face and the sculpted
desk, but restored in 1983. Now the sculpture shows a snake and an
apple at the base, the snake symbolizing the sins and
transgressions.

following words in German
" Wer vor
diesem Kreuz 5 Vater unser und 5 Ave Maria andächtig betet, hat 40
Tage Ablass. Dieses Kreuz hier ist errichtet worden für die
Eheleute Franz Joseph JUND, Ackermann und Thérésia STOECKEL in der
