Originally named "The Christmas Tree Trail"
This regular lock 'n lock container is located in the Christmas Tree Trail in Edworthy Park, near a rock commemorating George Edworthy, in which this park is named after.
George Edward Edworthy homesteaded this land in 1883. George was born in the house at the base of the hill by the big spring in 1899. The orchard and surrounding trees were planted by him in 1939 in preparation for a future homesite.
Edworthy Park is happily enjoyed by all the people of Calgary and stands as a tribute to a true family man, citizen, and pioneer who passed away September 23,1977.
The cache contains logbook, pen and pencil, as well as some swag.
The park gates close at 11pm daily.
Congrats to the_tower_of_song on the FTF!
