Den trange, skyggefulle dalen mellom Eikevann og Tinnheia ble
tidligere på folkemunne kalt Helvetesdalen. Under siste verdenskrig
bygde hjemmefronten ei hytte under noen steinheller i dalen. Hytta
ble brukt som transittsted for motstandsfolk som måtte rømme til
Sverige, og tyskerne klarte aldri å finne den.
English: "The Cave in Hell's valley". Hell's valley is a shadowy,
narrow valley between Eigevannet and Tinnheia. During world war two
the Norwegian resistance built a small cabin in the valley, and
used it to hide fugitives who was forced to flee to Sweden. The
Germans never succeded in locating the cabin.
