Geocache Description:

There have been rumors of Black Panthers in parts of Georgia as in other parts of the country. All sightings have been dismissed as nonsense, of course. While exploring in this area Virgilbrigman and The Brock Clan happened upon a very startled five to six foot long black feline which immediately leaped 12 feet into the brush and disappeared. Probably just a very large domestic cat. There are no Panthers in North Georgia. . . .

This is a regular tupperware style container just a few yards from our "sighting". Most of the trail is well-marked, but may get a little sketchy at points. The trailhead is at these coordinates: N 34 37.928 W 083 45.225 with plenty of parking nearby. When the trail seems to peter out, look left. My daughter who is 8 found the hidden trail. Look down. You are likely to find all kinds of wildlife tracks. Use stealth and you may be suprised at what you may see. . . . Cache is stocked with all kinds of goodies-- including a fresh, crisp $10 bill for the first to find. Park is open from 8am to Dark.
