Persus
This is the
start of your great adventure. Perseus is the son of Zeus. His
mother was Danae who was locked away in a tower beacuse the oracle
of Apollo said Danae's son would kill Acrisius the king. But Zeus
came down and made life easier for Acrisius and gave her a
son.
Perseus would
grow up and have many adventures including the destruction of the
Kraken, killing of Medusa, marring Andromeda and more. Before
Perseus was killed by Dionysus he did fulfill the prophecy and
killed Acrisius. It was an accident but killed him none the
less.
Normally you
would have Pegasuses to help you along the way but today you will
need to be on foot. Pegasuses is not allowed, or bikes, or
motorized vehicles. Also you only have until dusk to complete this
adventure as the path to Olympus is only open from dawn to dusk.
Along the way none of the adventure will take you more then 100
feet of the trail so no need to bushwhack from cache to cache. At
each stage there will be partial coordinates to another cache in
the series. There are a total of 14 caches. 4 triads, one final and
a bonus. So good luck and happy hunting.
This cache is a small lock and lock
hidden at the trail head to the Burnham Centennial nature trail.
Just be mindful of all the runners and walkers on the trail and at
the right time of day there will be plenty of deer to see as well.
This cache contains half the coordinates for
Battle of Olympus #3 - Athena . You will need these to continue
your journey.
