Cache is located on a public footpath with pleasant views across fields to the south of East Leake, close to a footbridge over Sheepwash Brook. The surrounding fields are popular with dog walkers and a favourite of my own geodog.
Container is a small plastic box suitable for swaps and travel bugs/coins. A few swap items are included initially. Please replace the container carefully and watch out for occasional muggles.
There are three footpath approaches from various points in and around the village. Cache is a similar distance from the three start points, however there is no suitable parking adjacent to any of the footpath start points - good street parking is available on “School Green” next to the Three Horse Shoes pub, opposite St. Mary’s Church. Start of the Burton Walk footpath leading to the cache is then accessed through a pedestrian walkway known locally as gitty - walk to the top of “School Green”, bear right near the school gates where road becomes “The Nook”. At the end of this road continue on the gitty slightly to the left and then straight on at the path junction, passing houses and into the corner where the Burton Walk footpath starts - steps lead to the fields and the cache beyond.
