Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Milford's Heritage Park near the newly expanded public library. It was first built in 1939, and has recently been expanded to the west, but the original building has been preserved.

Take time to learn a little more about Milford by reading the 4 plaques which were erected in 1976. The first one tells about the Domingues-Escalante expedition through this area. The second tells about the settlement of Milford. The third tells about the native people of Milford. The forth focuses on mining, the railroad, and agriculture in the region.

At the other end of the park are two monuments. One lists the members of the community who answered the call during World War II......the other tells about the Milford Stamp Mill erected in the fall of 1873 and how Milford received its name.
