Needed to do a little cache maintenance up at Sierra Azul. Road the bike out about 3/4 of the ways to El Sombroso and then hiked up from there. I got a late start, but even at 8:30 I was the first in the parking lot off of Hicks. Everyone sleeping in? Dropped some new caches. Replaced a couple that were missing. The weather was near perfect.
MotorBug has gotten a chuckle out of a term I used for those necessary stops on those long caching runs. Here's one for you MotorBug!
Nice stop for a break, of any kind. There is a trail off the main road. It ends in a small clearing that has great views out over the Santa Clara Valley. Watch out for the wildlife though.
