Sonora Webster Carver, 1904 one of the first female horse divers. Running a horse as it reached the top of a forty foot tower and sail down along the horses back as it plunged into a pool. Married Dr Carver's son 1927. Arnette (french) her sister became a diver in 1928. 1931 Sonora was blinded, retinal detachment, due to hitting the water off balance on Red Lips, on the NJ Steel Pier. Continued to dive until 1942.
