Geocache Description:

A simple cache hidden near Breibhig harbour.

Small tupperware box with orange lid, wrapped in clear plastic bag. Contents include notebook, pencils, mobile phone charm, packet of crayons, circular crayon, eraser, BMW 7 series, a Rangers badge, a yellow knight and a ninja turtle.

Breibhig is a small, modern harbour about 8 miles north east of Stornoway, in the village of Back. Most of the boats operating from it today are prawn and lobster creelers working the Minch.

In times past small boats used by local fishermen had to be launched and retrieved from the beaches at Coll and Vatisker. Above the harbour is a memorial to the many fishermen who have lost their lives in these hazardous waters.
