Jensen Ranch Trail Traditional Cache
truckgirl2: This cache was no longer legally accessible so I removed it. There have been some changes to the area and no trespassing signs posted since I placed it. Sad to see it go but it's time.

Background
The Jensen River Ranch Habitat Enhancement and Public Access Project is located on the San Joaquin River between RM 255.3 and RM 256 north of Fresno, California. The project is bordered by the San Joaquin River to the north and Woodward Park to the south. The intent is to connect the project with the park via paved and natural trails to allow the public to enjoy the diversity of nature without having to leave the city limits.
The 167-acre project area consists of the floodplain from the south riverbank to the south bluffs and will involve recontouring and revegetating formerly agricultural land. The Department of Water Resources, San Joaquin District is contracted to complete the final construction working drawings and specifications, secure environmental and regulatory compliance, produce a revegetation plan, and prepare cost estimate alternatives for the San Joaquin River Conservancy's project. This project includes: modifying an urban storm water drainage channel to create oxbows for wetland wildlife habitat; grading to create changes in site hydrology and to widen the riparian terrace; installing hiking and equestrian trails; constructing a public use area (picnic tables, drinking fountain, benches, a restroom, shade shelter), accessed via a paved main trail; and planting, with supplemental irrigation, and natural propagation of oak woodlands, wetland and riparian habitat.
