Geocache Description:

Clarence King (1842-1901), a well-known American geologist and mountaineer, earned his nickname, "The King of Diamonds", when he exposed a scam involving a field out west seeded with diamonds, known as the Diamond Hoax of 1872. He also surveyed a sizable chunk of the route for the transcontinental railroad which catalyzed the migration to the American West.

The location of this cache, the fifth in "The Five of Hearts" series, is not far off Sunset Hill Trail. Stay on the trail and expect more incline from here. The cache container is an ammo box placed in plain view. Enjoy caching and please respect the environment.

Park along the road just down from the trail head across from The Fells, (visit link) on Rte 103A. Have you marked (GPS) the location of your car?

Congratulations Molly Mac on FTF Honors! Great job.
