Geocache Description:

2 stage multi-cache to encourage people to look at the new bridge

I have had a different cache in this area for a while. During the recent bridge construction, the area kept changing so I disabled it. I was planning to replace the original hide, but decided to place this one instead. The trail that this is hidden along is open from 6AM to 10PM. Please respect these hours when searching for this cache. The city recently installed a new trailhead sign. The new sign no longer provides a map of the entire 7.2 miles of the Sac and Fox Trail. You will need to take a short walk on the trail to find the cache, but don't worry - you won't need the map to find your way. The new bridge looks a lot nicer than the old bridge. In fact, it looks so good that Mrs BriLaura wanted to do something to require people to examine it. In order to find the cache, follow these instructions: Start at the coordinates listed above. Read this listing and explore the area to find the following information: The length of the trail is A.B (replace A and B with the appropriate numbers). Follow the sidewalk to the pedestrian crossing on the West side of the bridge. There are a series of circles in the fence along the side of the sidewalk farthest from the road. Find the largest number of circles in a fence segment (between two metal posts). The number of circles = CD. Count the number of light posts on top of the bridge. That number = E Count the number of circles in the fence segments next to the automobile lane. The number of circles in a single segment = F Now, follow the sidewalk around and under the bridge to begin walking on the trail. When you are under the bridge, count the number of lights installed. Set G equal to that number. While you are at it, count the number of cement stringers that span across the creek (supporting the roadbed). That number is H. Calculate the coordinates for the final according to the following equation: N 41 59.(F)(H)(G+D) W 091 36.(A-E-F)(B+C)(B+E) The final cache container does NOT include a writing instrument. Bring your own pen/pencil. Congratulations to JDLC1936 for a very persistent FTF. Thanks for help with the coordinates!
