I started my State of the Nation Series of Caches a few years
ago but with my limited travel placing them has been sparse. So, I
figured that I would try a different route and create a challenge
where cachers need to find at least 40 caches with different State
Names or State Abbreviations. You can go for all 50 if you dare but
it is not required.
I did a search of the state names and there are numerous caches
to choose from throughout the state to fulfill the requirements.
And yes, you can use my State of the Nation Series of Caches to
fill in those holes you need… but it will not get you very
far. The actual caches DO NOT need to be in the states with their
namesake.
In addition, please find at least (5) different types of
caches or categories (icons) when posting your finds. (Traditional,
Multi, Unknown, Letterbox, Web, Virtual, Events. etc). This
gives the challenge an extra star boost to the difficulty.
The state names or abbreviations you need to choose from to find
are: ALABAMA (AL), ALASKA (AK), ARIZONA (AZ), ARKANSAS (AR),
CALIFORNIA (CA), COLORADO (CO), CONNECTICUT (CT), DELAWARE (DE),
FLORIDA (FL), GEORGIA (GA), HAWAII (HI), IDAHO (ID), ILLINOIS (IL),
INDIANA (IN), IOWA (IA), KANSAS (KS), KENTUCKY (KY), LOUISIANA
(LA), MAINE (ME), MARYLAND (MD), MASSACHUSETTS (MA), MICHIGAN (MI),
MINNESOTA (MN), MISSISSIPPI (MS), MISSOURI (MO), MONTANA (MT),
NEBRASKA (NE), NEVADA (NV), NEW HAMPSHIRE (NH), NEW JERSEY (NJ),
NEW MEXICO (NM), NEW YORK (NY), NORTH CAROLINA (NC), NORTH DAKOTA
(ND), OHIO (OH), OKLAHOMA (OK), OREGON (OR), PENNSYLVANIA (PA),
RHODE ISLAND (RI), SOUTH CAROLINA (SC), SOUTH DAKOTA (SD),
TENNESSEE (TN), TEXAS (TX), UTAH (UT), VERMONT (VT), VIRGINIA (VA),
WASHINGTON (WA), WEST VIRGINIA (WV), WISCONSIN (WI), WYOMING
(WY)
You have no time limit on finding the caches. In fact, you may
have already completed the cache requirements. But, if you
haven’t… now you have some target caches to find.
When logging this cache, list your requisite caches with the
cache name, gc#, date found, and type of cache as identified

You may find the cache and ink your TnL
(d)mark™ in the log at anytime but you may not log it as a
find until you meet the requirements listed above.
Congrats to retiredprof for the
FTF.
As always… Enjoy and Have Fun.
