Need a break from driving? There's lots to do in this little neck of the woods! There's nearby fishing, a wonderful playground and beautiful picnic areas and walking trails.
Cache is hidden a short distance from the parking lot. You are looking for a small container with a log book and room for some small trading items.
I have many fond memories of this little park! When I was little we made regular trips to NE Iowa to visit family members. I was delighted when my parents would stop here for a quick break (and great mushroom hunting in the spring). Years ago there was a covered bridge leading over to the playground, and surprisingly it wasn't the playground that I was excited to see - it was the bridge, with a wondeful view overlooking the pond. Unfortunately the covered bridge has been replaced with a new wooden bridge - still beautiful but not as captivating as I recall it being 30 years ago.
