La cache si trova in località Cavandone, una delle frazioni che
compongono Verbania. Si trova sulle pendici del Monte Rosso. Si
raggiunge in auto partendo da Suna tramite una stretta strada
(prestare attenzione).
The cache is located in Cavandone, one of the villages that make
up Verbania. It is located on the slopes of Monte Rosso. It can be
reached by car starting from Suna through a narrow road (be
careful).
Questa cache vuol far conoscere un posto che spesso i turisti non
raggiungono. Essa si trova nei pressi della chiesa principale della
frazione di Cavandone, un piccolo e caratteristico paese a 400 m.
s.l.m.. Arrivati lì potrete ammirare lo splendido panorama sul
Golfo Borromeo e, soprattutto, la maestosità del tasso
pluricentenario che sorge a fianco della chiesa e che presenta un
particolare tronco “spiralato”. Consiglio anche una
visita al paese che presenta caratteristiche del tutto simili ad un
paese dell'entroterra montano pur trovandosi così vicino al lago.
La cache consiste in una piccola scatola di plastica trasparente e
contiene: due matite, temperino, logbook e foglio di avviso.
This cache wants to know a place that tourists often do not
reach. It is located near the main church of the village of
Cavandone, a quaint little town at 400 m. of altitude. Once there
you can admire the splendid views of the Borromeo Gulf and, above
all, the majesty of centuries old yew which stands beside the
church has one "spiraled" trunk. I also recommend a visit to the
town which has features similar to a village in the mountains while
being so close to the lake. The cache consists of a small
transparent plastic box and contains two pencils, sharpener, paper
logbook and alert.
