Geocache Description:

In thanks to Ms Wig for the gift of a shark feeding encounter at Seaworld. Just a note, this is not within Seaworld itself, so if you are visiting there, you will need to find before or after your visit.... or get a passout.

The Scottish Prince ran aground and broke up off the Southport spit in February 1887 whilst on a voyage from Glasgow to Moreton bay. The anchors you will find at the cache site were raised from the wreck site in 1987. The hull of The Scottish Prince lies in 10 metres of water near the Southport Spit providing a fascinating wreck dive on the Gold Coast. The Scottish Prince was a 3 steel-masted iron barque 64 metres long, sank with a cargo of whiskey, mousetraps, linen and other assorted cargo. Only the hull remains and is covered with soft corals and sponges, and is a haven for crayfish, Shovelnose rays, Leopard and wobbegong sharks, and other tropical fish. The cache is placed so that you should be able to discretely find it, even if people are nearby. (BYOP).
