Master Mariner: As a finder, for another of my Wherigos, has admitted to solving this before leaving home I do not feel that the spirit of Wherigos is being upheld.

Geocache Description:

I have made this a simple cartridge and all (famous last words) the user has to do is to wander to each of ten touristy areas (Zones) in Greenwich. To find out more about Wherigo visit Wherigo.com where you will discover what "tools" you need and the software (Player) to run the Cartridges and be able to create your account. You will also need to download the "Maritime Greenwich" cartridge to complete this cache.

The co-ordinates, given above, are for the suggested starting point near to the Cutty Sark DLR station. As the "zones" must be visited in a given order, it is recommended that you start at the given coordinates.

The "zones" have been made large enough so that you do not have to enter any of the buildings along the route. Should you wish, you can stop and explore any zones as there is no time limit to complete the cartridge. Just make sure your batteries have plenty of life and save the cartridge frequently.

The areas that you will visit, but not necessarily in the given order, are:

The Cutty Sark
World Heritage Site
Painted Hall
Trafalgar Tavern
Queen's House
National Maritime Museum
The Royal Observatory
The Rangers' House
The WGS 84 Meridian
Trinity Hospital
The cache

When you have wandered through the ten "zones" an 11th "zone" will become active. That is where the cache is located. You will be given the co-ordinates of the cache and a map will be added to your Inventory showing the general area of the cache as well as the co-ordinates. Some hints will also become available.

Feedback is important so that I can tweak the cartridge, if necessary so please feel free to be critical. I have walked the zones on a couple of occasions and it worked for me. I used an Oregon 550t.

As you will have done quite a bit of walking to get to this cache I have made it a decent size. It is a  about a half litre in size and covered in camouflage tape.

NOTES:

1. Some areas are not accessible during the hours of darkness so stick to 0900hrs to sunset. The cache is available throughout 24 hours.

2. One area does not allow access to dogs so do not bring a dog with you unless there is someone to attend to it while you enter the zone. Disability dogs are allowed to the best of my knowledge.

3. The cache location is not accessible to wheelchair users but all other zones are friendly.

4. Caches are not allowed to be hidden in the Royal Parks so the cache location is outside Greenwich Park. The distance from the final zone to the cache location is about a kilometre.
