A small cache in Long Ridge OSP.
I feel so lucky to live here. Only 15 miles from my house is Skyline Highway, surrounded by the wonderful Open Space Reserves, so in less than half an hour I can be hiking in the mountains. There's good hiking all year 'round, but I particularly like it in the wet season, and my wife is kind enough to cover so I can have a quick getaway. And to add to my luck, I won a very nice cache container, pre-packed with a log and swag, at a recent event cache in Castro Valley, so all I had to do was find a good place to hide it.
I hope you like the result. It's a short distance off Ward Road on the downhill side and shouldn't be hard to find. Caution: the last few steps are tricky, don't drop the cache (or yourself) down the hill.
