Geocache Description:

On our way back from the breath taking Erma Gorge near Tran, me and my beloved decided to pass through the village of Gurgulyat.Yet one enters this pretty place, and numerous wild brier bushes smile all around, a big red monument attracts the attention. Here, in 1885 the Bulgarian army defeated the Serbs. The war took many victims, as well as people from the village but the way to Slivnitsa was kept.
This imposing pantheon in the form of crossed pyramid was made of red concrete that reflects the sun shine like honey beams! It's over 20m high and around 700sq.m. In the middle of the inner part of the Pantheon stands Mother Bulgaria, waiting and mourning for her lost children. The monument was build in 1985.
