Geocache Description:

Jed's Ole Haunts:

Marble Springs

The last home of Tennessee's first Governor-John Sevier. Marble Springs Historic Farmstead is located on a portion of the original John Sevier Farm. The main cabin, built circa 1800, still stands today on the site where it was originally constructed. Sevier named his farm “Marble Springs” because of the Tennessee Rose Marble deposits and six springs that were located on the property. Sevier continued to live at the farm until his death in 1815. This site was originally a portion of John Sevier's farm.

Please keep in mind that this area can be isolated so use care.
