Iowa Travel Bug Challenge Mystery Cache
IowaBeaver: Since I was close by I decided to give this a look to see how the hide was doing. I found the container lying on the ground in decent shape. The hide was no longer what I wanted and I didn't see a spot I wanted to rehide the container so I removed the container and am archiving this cache. Thanks to all who searched and signed the log. Of course anyone who has previously signed the log can claim a find once the criteria has been met.

The cache is at the listed coordinates. You must fulfill the ALR in order to claim a "Find".
Travel bugs need to move. Move far and wide. Here's a challenge to get geocachers to get those bugs moving! Why limit this to bugs? ALL geocaching.com trackable items are included in this challenge. All you need to do is gather 100 points. All points must be earned after cache placement date, 3 DEC 2010. Simply start with a note and follow the sample format below to track your progress.
"How do you get points?" you ask.
Here's the chart:
Zero points for discovering a TB. This includes "dipping", "visiting", "drop and retrieve", etc. This applies to "personal" TBs which are "dipped" into caches for the purpose of counting miles. There are statistical programs available for free which will do this so "personal" TBs count as zero since they are not physically left in caches. TB stickers making a car "discoverable" fall into the same category as the "personal" TB and therefore do not gain any points.
One point for moving a geocaching.com trackable to another cache. The TB must physically be left in the cache for another geocacher to move.
Five points for releasing a geocaching.com trackable item. Copies of the item do not count; release the coin, not a copy.
Five points per 1000 miles for one move for one geocaching.com trackable only. A move is defined as picking up the TB from one cache and leaving it in another. For example, you can retrieve a TB from a cache in Iowa and take it to Germany. It has to be left in Germany for the miles to count. You cannot dip it into multiple caches and count all of the miles. One move only applies.
Five points for moving a TB marked as missing. This includes rescuing a TB from a cache (not an event cache) which has been archived. You cannot archive your own caches to fulfill this requirement.
Ten points for completing a specific geocaching.com trackable item goal. The goal must be specific with a location you actually took the TB to. For example: The Golden Gate TB wanted to have a picture taken at Ft. Point in San Francisco. Ten points can be claimed if you took the picture. No points will be awarded for merely moving a TB to a different cache. If you have a
question on this requirement, please contact IowaBeaver through the geocaching website.
Ten points for moving a geocaching.com trackable which has been sitting in a cache for more than six months. You do not qualify if you have held the TB for over six months.
For now, that's it but feel free to make suggestions for bonus points.
You can count movements way back when I originally placed the container: 3 DEC 2010
