There is a small green mountain along 'Wangan road'. It's a green oasis in the industrial zone.
The mountain is called 'Gyotoku Fuji', about 40m, the highest place in Ichikawa city.
'Gyotoku Fuji' is not a mountain that was born naturally.
For 20 years, the industrial waste trader was dumping the surplus soil and garbages with no permission.
Gyotoku Fuji was a garbage dump.
As time passed, some plants and trees grew from the soil, it became a present green place.
The people around here feared the dust damage, and the soil contamination. So Ichikawa city and Land owners bought this wasted soil.
Now the citizens are expecting the removal of the soil and reform to the green park.

殺風景な湾岸道路沿いに突如現れるこの山は、大小様々な樹木が茂り、工業地帯における緑のオアシスです。
この山は通称「行徳富士」と呼ばれています。
高さはおよそ40メートル。市川市の最高標高地点の里見公園（30.1m)よりも更に高い場所ですが、地図には載っていません。なぜでしょうか？
実はこの山、自然に出来たものではありません。
とある産廃業者が20年に渡って無許可で残土や廃棄物を投棄し続けて出来た、いわゆる「ゴミの山」なのです。
長い年月の間に残土から草が生え、木が茂り、現在の緑の姿に変わりました。
この不法残土の山は粉塵被害や土壌汚染が問題視されてきましたが、長年に渡る係争の末、市と地権者が残土を買い取り、今後、残土の撤去や公園化などの整備が進むものと期待されています。
