Geocache Description:

In Cannon Beach to visit the famous Haystack Rock? Travel down the beach to discover the secret in the bowels of the Rock Monster.

Take a picture of Haystack rock and head south from town on the beautiful beach. The beach is expansive and is a great place to ride a bike on the hard packed sand.

You are headed to a collection of rocks, just south of the last house with beach front property. If it is low tide, you can visit the cave where the Rock Monster sleeps at night. But your goal is to explore the Rock Monster.

Climb on the Rock Monster's back and explore this ancient creature. The Rock Monster holds your prize, a medium sized, waterproof Pelican box.

The Rock Monster is only accessible from the beach. While you can see the Rock Monster from the scenic overlook on Hwy 101, you can only access it from the public beach.
