This cache is placed on Screel Hill, which is Kirkcudbrightshire's favourite hill. It is very accessable with a car park and will take about an hour to get to the top.
Car Park is at N 54 52.361 W 003 52.296
First Bench stop is at N 54 52.347 W 003 52.867

From Castle Douglas head for Auchencairn on the B736, continue until junction with A711 and turn right onto this road. After about half a mile turn right onto a single track road and after about 400m turn left into car park for Screel Hill walk.
This is a hill walk with a path and some signage. The assent is under 1000 feet, going up the southern aspect of the hill.
When you come out of the wooded section (at the second bench) there are a couple of routes to complete the final climb. Your GPS will take you up!
