Geocache Description:

This cache is the first in a series of caches placed by Brentwood's Cub Scout Pack 656, who is sponsored by the McGrath Elementory PTO.

The cache is located in Memorial Park in the city of Brentwood -
known as the City Of Trees. Memorial Park is centrally located and
has plenty of large trees, paved trials, a couple of shelters, and
playgrounds.

While there are paved trails in the park, this cache is hidden
along the unpaved trails within the woods surrounding the park. To get
to the cache there will be dirt paths, small but steep hills, bridges
across the creeks, and rock steps. There are many interwinding,
unpaved paths.

One of the hills in the woods was once utilized as a lookout site.
At coordinates N 38 37.288 W 090 20.656 there are rock stairs which
lead to the foundation of a building.

The sponsors of the cache will be working with the Brentwood
Historical Society to find the historical significance of these
remnants. Once determined it will be noted on this site. If you can
provide more information regarding this site please note this in
your log.
