Geocache Description:

This is an official G.I.A. (Geocaching Intelligence Agency) mission. Your task: Identify the location of a cache of stolen dollar bills.

Good day, Junior Geo-Agent,

The international thief and all-around villain, Hector the Hyena, is believed to have recently made off with a fortune in stolen dollar bills. Intercepted radio communications indicate he has hidden the goods in a container nearby.

As a Junior Geo-Agent, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to locate and identify the container. Do not take the container; our primary objective is to capture The Hyena. So, you must verify the location of the goods and leave them in place. Once the location is confirmed, we will then set up a visual surveillance team to watch the container and hopefully capture The Hyena when he returns to claim the goods.

The Hyena is known to be very arrogant. He likes to write about his exploits in personal logbooks. If you should find one in the container, feel free to write a taunting message inside for him to find.

We also believe The Hyena likes to leave coordinates with his stolen goods for his henchmen to find. If you should find the cash, be sure to look for any additional coordinates or parts of coordinates that might lead to his whereabouts.

As a reward for your efforts, you may take one of the stolen bills to keep (the owner has agreed to this). Also, be sure to document your findings on our G.I.A. website.

Assemble your team and proceed to the coordinates where you will receive further instructions from our local team on the ground as well as the coordinates of where they think the stolen bills are hidden. The Hyena has agents everywhere. Be vigilant and stay safe! Good luck!

This is a two-stage multi-cache designed especially for kids. At the first waypoint, you will find coordinates for the final. If you make it to the final, your Junior Geo-Agent will receive a prize. Please take only one prize per child and save some for the next finders. No need to trade, but just take what you need and no more. If supplies are getting low, please contact us. Also at the final, look under the lid for the numbers you need for the puzzle cache.

Please stay on marked trails. The waypoint and final are each within 30 feet of the trail. If you decide to do all three Geo-Agent multi-caches, we suggest starting with Funny Money and proceeding clockwise around the northern tip of the Savannah Loop. Total walking distance for all four caches (including the puzzle) is about 1.5 miles. We realize this may be difficult for younger kids, but the lure of prizes may keep them going.

This cache is in Government Canyon State Natural Area and was placed with the written permission of park management. Please check the park website for entrance fees and operating hours (currently, Friday-Monday 7 am to 10 pm). Entrance fees are $6 per day per person 13 years and older unless you have a state park pass.

As a State Natural Area, the park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including some that are dangerous to us as geocachers (such as bees, black widows, tarantulas, scorpions, and of course, rattlesnakes). Watch where you step, and look where you are reaching. Be prepared, be aware of your surroundings, and always bring plenty of water.
