The above coordinates will lead you to Rustington House which
was home to Summerlea Independent Girls School. The school closed
down in 1986.
Rustington House was built in 1822 for Squire Edward Greenfield
Penfold, one of the villages major landowners. During WWII it was
requisitioned for use by the military. Following the closing down
of the school, the building was bought by a local housing developer
who has since used this grand, grade 2 listed building as their
head office.
