Geocache Description:

The original cache went missing, so I replaced it with a 3x3 lock-lock container. I also moved the location so it is further off the trail but it is still less than 40 feet off Little Acorn Trail in Shaw Nature Reserve. This could be a challenge to get to in the summer.

The staff prides their selves on maintaining a well-groomed nature reserve. Since it is a lot of work they have some rules that must be followed to keep this area open to us for caching.
1) Sorry but NO PETS

2) No fires or smoking are allowed

3) Bikes are permitted but only on the service roads. Bikes are not allowed on the trails

4) No hunting, fishing or swimming

The only way to enter the property is through the front gate (entering any other way is considered trespassing); there is a $5.00 admission charge for adults, senior citizens (65 and over), 3.00, children twelve and under are free. Members of Missouri Botanical Garden or Shaw Nature Reserve are free. Grounds are open 7:00 am to one-half hour past sunset. The visitor center is open 8:00 am to 4:30 pm weekdays and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm weekends.
