My First Find Traditional Cache
JoesBar: The hiding spot rotted away. Funny how that happens. I guess five years was long enough.

The Basics: The cache is hidden in Sims Park. The sign at
the drive says, "Albert W. Henn Mansion." There is a waypoint for
the drive. It's just west of E. 232 St. on the north side of
Lakeshore Blvd.
The park closes at dark. No dogs.
Please make sure the cache is covered, and not visible, before
you leave.
The other stuff: Way back in the winter of 2002/03 I read an
article in The Plain Dealer about geocaching. It sounded like a
hobby for me. So I got myself a gpsr, a Magellan Sportrak, and
checked for caches nearby. Very near by my home was, "Overlooking
Lake Dreire" by Oblong Fred. On Jan. 18, 2003, this became my first
find.
The other day I was again in this park, as I am often. But this
time, I was looking to hide a cache. And this spot jumped out at
me.
I hope you enjoy the area. There is a great disc golf course here,
and when the weather is nice, many golfers are out.
The park is also a terrific birding area. Bring the
binoculars.
Sunsets on the lake can be spectacular!
The mansion is operated by a non-profit organization. It may be
open if volunteers are working on the place. They are welcoming,
and will give you a quick tour.
