Geocache Description:

I'm 50 in December 2010! Half a century gone and I hope another half to go so to add to my celebrations a cache for you to add to your smilies count.
Situated on the Birmingham & Worcester canal near the south end of Wast Hills Tunnel, a small clip lock box but big enough for trackables and coins. FTF certificate placed at time of listing.

The cache is placed near the south entrance of the Wast Hills tunnel. The tunnel is 2726 feet long making it one of the longest in the country. The other end from here emerges very near to my former home on Primrose Hill where I lived for 19 years. I used to walk my dog, since passed away, near here. I was always curious where this end of the tunnel emerged as there is no towpath in this tunnel.
An addition to my Golden Memories series. There is no particular one standout memory from around here however as I have lived in the area of Kings Norton for over 25 years I am often around here walking or maintaining some nearby caches!

As always be careful with children near water. There is access to the towpath without going down the steps following the footpath from the nearby parking waypoint. It is muddy in wet weather and unsuitable for wheelchairs.

Hope you like finding the cache. If you have not done so already there is a series nearby based on The Stranglers albums. Not sure who the CO is, some dodgy character probably.........
