Geocache Description:

Exodus 8:18 - And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth EXODUS, but they could not ...

The following is one of Stephen Harding's anecdotes from "De Nugis Curialium" by Walter Map. In the preface, Walter recommends the use of his land ranger 139.

It was winter, a winter that would last nearly twenty years, and the queen was besieged in a castle dark by her passionate enemies. Desperate to escape she called upon the help of nine ancient magicians:

REPHIDIM
ELZAPHAN
DAN
HANOCH
ELEAZAR
RAHOZ
IZHAR
NEPHEG
GAD

In preparation for their arrival the queen asked her young servant to follow Exodus 40:4 saying “and thou shalt bring in the table, and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it.” Taking a large oak table from the great hall and things from the kitchen stores, the servant followed his orders. When they arrived the magicians initially drew lots to decide an order. They then took it in turns to remove things from the table and use them in order to conjure an Exodus spell. Each tried and each failed. When all had finished the servant rolled back his sleeves, took the remaining things from the table and started to chant "there is no truth beyond magic". As he did so, he scribbled down the following:

With a flash of lightening and a puff of smoke the things together transformed into a white powder. The servant took a handful of the powder and sprinkled it over the queen. Slowly the queen started to disappear until she was completely invisible. Thanking her servant and rewarding him with £500 in alloy coppers, she climbed down the castle wall on a rope and escaped without being seen, even though it was cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey, whatever that's supposed to mean? There was just enough powder for her whole army to follow, leaving her jesters Tommy (along with his Exodus Joke Box - which he later goes to hide from the GIANT) and Bobby behind. Afterwards the queen, fed up with war, joined an order of nuns and drew up a charter for the foundation and endowment of an abbey about 50 miles northwest by north of the castle. The servant grew old and became the greatest magician of all.

The charter, which included the location of the nine magicians in case their help would be needed again, was held at Worcester Cathedral but was consumed by fire in 1202. The nuns, using local needles, made a tapestry of the events which was hung in the abbey but that too was destroyed during the Dissolution of the Monasteries. However some time earlier, a thief broke into the abbey and stole the piece of the tapestry that showed the queen holding up the charter. A letter written by the thief, known as "The Exodus Letter", is archived in the British Museum, catalogue number GC2K9H4.

Find the stolen fragment of tapestry using the Exodus Letter ... visit the nine magicians ... finally identify the things remaining for the Exodus spell and conjure one of the five GOOD book clues of Revelation.

There is nothing at the listed coordinates. A digital camera may be useful for taking a record of the puzzles contained in the various caches comprising this series.
