This cache is part of the Bois D’Arc Giant Series on the Bois D'Arc Conservation Area under Missouri Department of Conservation Special Use Permit 1101. Thanks to manager Kevin Hedgepeth for approving it. Each cache in this series is a Park and Hike and a very large container. It contains a log and a big variety of trade items. Each cache in the series will have different parking coordinates.
You can park at this parking lot: N 37 18.494 W093 30.604. Then just head down the trail to the east. This large tub cache is found near a rocky glade 0.3 miles from parking and you can follow the trail to within 40 feet of the cache. Ticks, chiggers, thorns and poison ivy since it’s a conservation area not a park. There is no major bushwhacking, but there will be some for the last 40 feet. In my opinion, I would prefer to cache this conservation area in late fall, winter and early spring.
Since this is a conservation area, please use due caution during hunting seasons. In fact, if it is opening day just don't even try and at other times, use common sense. The area is closed from 10 pm to 4 am every day, so daylight caching is probably best.
