Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache is a small, camouflaged pill container and will be winter friendly. Hazard warning: Some city folk do not care for good country smells that denote farming activity. If that is the case, come when the wind is from the north.
The Headingley Grand Trunk Trail is the abandoned CNR rail line that traverses the municipalities of Headingley and Cartier. The railroad bed, originally built by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railroad, was used from 1894 to 1972. The trail covers approximately 15 kilometers from the Perimeter Highway to Beaudry Park.
There are already 3 caches in place at the eastern end of the trail. Watch for the diverse plant and animal life while on the trail.
The cache can be found along the Headingley Grand Trunk Trail which can be accessed from several of the roads (which will bring you close to the cache) or as a part of a good bicycle ride or a long hike.
