This puzzle cache in Palaia Park (Deal Test Site) utilizes the classic mathematical Jinx equation in order to unlock the secrets held within the final cache. Basic 3rd/4th grade math skills are required in order to solve the puzzle.
Not much stealth is required, as this part of the park rarely gets any visitors due to thick thorns and vegetation. The Terrain on this one gets a 2.5 rating because you will have to work your way through a lot of foliage. Be sure to watch where you walk and what you touch, else you might get stabbed by thorns or branches! Also, be on the lookout for poison ivy, ticks and deer droppings during the bushwhack. To help, the cache hint contains a tip for getting to the first stage that bypasses thorn bushes.
The lair of the cache is a long-forgotten glade located behind an old abandoned garage. Based on a government cultural resource survey, this area of the park started as a farmstead for the Wooley family in 1750, then switched ownership half a dozen times over a 159 year period. In 1919, it was sold to Western Electric / Bell Labs, then leased to the army in 1953, and ultimately sold to the township in 1973.
Pardon the patchwork and bolts on the chest- I had to rebuild and reinforce the lid because it was smashed open by muggles.
