My latest trip to the park was on 12/20/10. That was the date of my first Stearns County Ski Patrol stint of the season. While I am not a big XC skier, it is something I have been doing for several years now.
You too can join the Stearns County Ski Patrol. What they ask for is two - 2 hour committments from you. Pick a couple open dates at a Stearns County Park and you are on your way. While you are volunteering, as a Thank you for your efforts, you will recieve an annual pass to Quarry Park. That's in addition to getting to spend 4 hours in these wonderful parks! What a great excuse to get out and about and to do something worthwhile. You can do all of this online at Stearns County Ski Patrol .
