Geocache Description:

Te Weraiti Trig

The Cache is located at the trig of Te Weraiti, there are some magical views from here, could be better once a man with a chainsaw has dealt to the shrubbery, plenty of chances to peek a view on your way here.

The cache itself is located in the Kaimai ranges bush, you will need a bit of bush navigating skill, or a lot if getting here from the old North-South track, I got here from the Barton Road end, and MTB'ed up the access track to the Radar Station on the road that the Hang-gliders use. Best to use instructions from the Kaimai King cache. link: Kaimai King cache

This cache placement came about because I went up to try and find the Kaimai King cache, it had a DNF recently and I asked Boges if he would like me to take up a spare container just in case it was gone, Luck was on my side and I found the cache, to spare me the extra weight of a cache container on the way down I decided to carry on to the trig and drop off a little something for the people who were in need of some pre or post christmas excercise!! On my way to the trig I followed the ridge and the odd ribbon till I got to the trig, there were some old white track markers in the bush there going east so am pretty sure there must be some way up here from the existing tracks, would love to explore further but have a tight schedule today.

Merry Christmas, may you all find loads of caches.
