The cache is one a series placed along the walks that leave carlingford village. Free parking is available at information centre in the village.
When placed the view was fantastic with the mountains covered in snow jutting out of a low lying mist that hugged the Lough. Hopefully it will be a but warmer when you're visiting
The cache is placed above Sliabh Foye forest. It can be found by following the Barnavave walk from the village (Signposted). The terrain is road or hard pack forest path from Carlingford to the cache.
For a shorter walk you can park in the upper car park of Sliabh Foye Forest (access from the Omeath/Carlingford Road).
The cache no been placed using the "Leave no Trace" guidelines. You can try and trample the undergrowth but it bites back so I would search carefully and with respect for the spikes.
The cache is a small tupperware container and contains a few swaps, a notebook and pen.
