We didn't know Stationers Park existed until recently and went to place a cache on Boxing Day when it was covered in snow and ice. Laurence attended Stationers School in the 1960s so the snow brought back memories.
Now instead of a series of concrete terraces and an area of waste ground attached to the school there is this attractive little park.The main feature of the park is a stream and waterfall leading to a pond. Just above is where Laurence used to have outdoor French lessons in the summer. Either side of winding paths are shrubs and trees, seats looking onto grassy areas. At the top of the slope are a childrens play area, tennis court and multicourt.
The park recently won a Green Flag Award; the judge comments:-
The design of Stationers Park ‘radiated a warm welcome to all, with well laid-out entrances and signage. For the tranquil stream to make one feel deep in the countryside is a wonderful achievement in such a small park’.
There are a few very mature trees which used to be in the church garden.
Public transport: Harringey Railway Station is a 10min. walk away and 141 bus runs along a road nearby.

CACHE IS ACCESSIBLE 8AM TILL DUSK
The container is big enough to hold only
small TBs. At time of placing there are a few small toys, log book and pencil and TB.
PLEASE COVER HIDING PLACE WITH STICKS /LEAVES SO IT IS NOT VISIBLE TO THOSE PASSING.
