Winter. It comes to us all in the end! No need to dwell on it. Let’s hope we all have an Indian Summer, and the cold days of winter are short. For this reason, this cache lies on a public footpath which is adjacent to a final resting place – Danescourt Cemetery.
This is one of a series of 4 caches using locations to reflect on the phases of our lives– Spring, Summer, Autumn & Winter . It can be done as a circular walk of about 2.75 miles, which should take less than 2 hours (including plenty of time for searching). To help you follow the route, enter “Stockwell End” in Streetmap.co.uk, and you can print a 1:25,000 map showing the footpaths we use. It is our first series, so please give us your comments, good and bad.
The container is a clip-lock box in a camo-bag, which is large enough for small Travel Bugs, Geocoins and Swaps. It has a special un-registered Geocoin for the first to complete the series. There are mementoes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd to find.
Please take care, as the route crosses a golf course and uses a footpath along the busy A41. Geo-Kids and Geo-Dogs should be kept close at hand at all times. All of the caches are on public land and footpaths.
