This is an old cemetery that was once home of "The Church of The
Good Shepherd" which was erected in 1886 and torn down in 1964. You
will find a beautiful stone cairn on the corner of the property
which stands monument to where the church once stood. As you
respectfully visit the stones, you will find a very unusual
sight.......the headstone of someone who lived to be 105 years old.
This all-season cache is a large plastic jug containing all things
"sheep", a log and pencils. Trade your sheep related items here but
of course anything farm related will do. The Good Shepherd cache
will watch over your flock. There is a gravel parking area in front
of the cairn. You'll have to park on the shoulder of the road
during snow plow season. After visiting "The Good Shepherd" cache,
you will find "Riverstown Sentinels", another interesting cemetery
cache only 1 minute south. Happy caching.
